Seve is a big goof who would like a family who are home most of the time. He could live with a greyhound bitch or other large breed, calm, steady bitch. He's quite strong so suited for a family with older children.

Gigi (Big Time Gigi)

Darling Gigi had to leave her home due to a sad separation. She is house trained, crate trained, happy to live alone or with another dog. She thrives in a calmer home, she's generally quite confident but dislikes conflict (understandably so!) This beautiful girl is one in a million - could she be yours?

Birdie (Big Time Birdy)

Birdie is a little ball of love. She managed to injure herself but has been fully rehabilitated from a nasty break in her back leg. She isn't allowed to run in dog parks but enjoys shorter walks and playing in her own garden. She would like a family who is at home a lot and can be a bit shy in new environments, but is a cheeky puppy at heart and all she wants is your love. Could you be the one to take this beautiful baby home?

Toby (Homebush Opie)

Toby is a beautiful boy who even knows how to sit on command! He's been known to pinch stuff and doesn't love to be left alone so would do best with a calm family able to set boundaries and prepared to use their crate! He is house trained and crate trained. Rod (Opawa Rod)

Big boy Rod is hoping for a calm family to be his whole world. He gets quite anxious when he's not sure what to expect so living with a calm, bossy bitch of a larger breed would be ideal for his confidence. He can live with dogs of any size, and loves kids, but due to his size will do best with tweens and up. You will need to be prepared to give him structure and routine to help him settle and in return he will give you his whole heart. He is house trained and crate trained.

Merlin (Evening Puzzle)

Merlin is playful and loving and all ready to find his new family. He can be anxious around dogs with funny body language which makes him barky but when dogs are confident and playful he is great with all of them. He gets nervous when dogs growl at him too. He would do best with another confident calm dog to live with to help him with his social skills, which are getting better all the time. Merlin is quite big and would suit a family with older children.

Seattle (Big Time Seattle)

Seattle is a beautiful girl who loves her toys. She also loves people. She can live with a friendly dog or on her own. She has a mild heart murmur which shouldn't ever be a problem for her - avoid strenuous exercise on hot days.

Ted (Ted Jewel)

Big bouncy playful Ted wants to be your best friend! He would like another dog to play with, although he is wonderful with dogs of all sizes due to his own size his ideal BFF would be of a medium-large breed. He is a little more energetic than your average greyhound. Ted needs a settled routine, exercise and lots of love and will be the perfect pet.

Chica (Unraced)

Chica is initally a very timid little girl but once you are her family she is loving and playful. She will never love loud voices or busy places/households - she is a shy little thing who needs you to keep her world small. She needs another dog (of any breed) to live with - a big dog or a greyhond will be helpful as a family member also to help her feel safe out and about. She is a cheeky monkley who loves toys and cuddles. She is house trained and crate trained.

Kayla (Cool Run)

Kayla is so playful and sweet. She has receovered from an injury so no dog parks for this girl. She would like people who are home most of the time, or perhaps a medium size calm dog for company. She loves her toys, snuggles and humans. Could she be the one for you?

Loving calm Sharkie would like a family who are home most of the time. He could live with a calm bitch of any breed. He is currently in foster learning all about pet life. He has been rehabbed from a leg injury so no dog parks allowed for this lovely boy.

Candy (Bit More)

Sweet Candy is a little bit shy, very playful and can be naughty! She knows all about being a pet but had to leave her home due to a bad habit of pinching things off the kitchen counters. Candy is really all about being playful and cheeky and benefits a lot from boundaries and plenty of love. She is crate trained and house trained. She could happily live with another dog in a structured home with rules for her to follow. She can be nervous out and about.

Zoomer (Night Howler)

Zoomer is an experienced pet, returned due to his family having two toddlers and it all being a bit overwhelming (Zoomer was adopted to a no-kids home). Zoomer is a playful, outgoing dog - who is quite shy in new situations and out and about. He's suited to older kids/families who don't have a lot of visitors. He's a really playful loving guy who also enjoys his own space. He can't stay home alone but will happily stay home alone with a calm bitch of a medium-large breed. He is crate trained and house trained and thrives on routine. Zoomer has had a deep corn on one foot and although this is now resolved he still will prefer a grassy backyard and only short walks.

This smart young man is Garfunkel! He is an unraced pup and still needs lots of love and guidance. He would thoroughly enjoy dog training class. he would like to live with a calm bitch of medium-large size to assist you with smoothest transition to pet life for this super handsome young lad!

What a stunner - Prince Charming in the flesh! Leo is a loving, active, bouncy young fellow who still needs lots of guidance as he matures. He would do well with a calm and tolerant older bitch to play with! Leo broke his leg as a puppy and has completed professional rehab for this injury. He is social with all dogs and would like a family who are home a good bit of the time.

Jordan (Bad Movies)

Jordan has been a pet before but due to some anxiety issues his family found they couldn't keep him. Jordan has some additional needs but he is a wonderful, confident boy with perfect leash manners. He likes kids, loves to play ball, and is confident and friendly out and about with all dogs. Jordan cant live with cats, and needs regular crate time each day. He would enjoy living with a doggie friend. He is house trained and crate trained and needs you to be a loving and firm leader for him in his life.

Harper (Opawa Harper)

Harper (Opawa Harper) is a lovely confident and friendly 5 year old girl. Harper has been a mum and is now more than ready for her forever home. She is currently in foster care in a home with two young children and doing superbly. She loves her walks, is sociable with dogs of all sizes and an all around good girl. She would like a home where people are around for at least part of the day and would happily live with another dog.

Tricky (Tricky) is a wonderful 6 year old who was a successful race dog as well as mum and is now looking for her very own forever home. A happy and friendly girl Tricky is dog social with dogs of all sizes. She knows how to relax and be calm whilst also still having a pep in her step when it’s walk time. Tricky could stay home whilst her people are at work. She would happily live in a variety of homes and would be best suited to a home with kids 8 plus.

Goldie (Unraced)

Meet Goldie (Unraced) a stunning little 2 1/2 year old girl the colour of toasted brioche! Goldie is as beautiful and sweet on the inside as on the outside. Well fostered and calm around the house she loves to go for adventure walks in quiet locations. She’s even been on hikes! Goldie does need a home that is ideally in a semi rural or rural environment as she finds the busyness of the city too much. She is shy initially when meeting new people but soon warms up and then loves cuddles and shows her playful side. Goldie is sociable with all dogs of all breeds and sizes and would love to live with another dog to help her with her confidence out and about. She is happy to stay home whilst her people are at work.

Steve (Unraced) is only 2 years old and never raced. He is an absolute gem of a dog. A confident and sweet natured boy Steve is dog social, cat trainable and great with kids. He would suit a variety of homes and it will be a lucky family who get to take him home.

Millie (Unraced)

Millie (Unraced) is a stunning 2 1/2 years old. She is sweet, fun, playful, smoochy and as cute as a button. Millie is currently in foster care with another Greyhound and doing fabulously. She is crate trained and able to stay home whilst her foster parents are at work. She can only hold on for the toilet for 6 hours max and as such is looking for a home where her people are either around or can let her out for a toilet break during the day. Millie is cat trainable and has spent time around small dogs where she was very polite. She would love a home with another dog of any sort for a companion.

Red (Homebush Red)

Red (Homebush Red) is an absolutely fabulous dog. At 4 years old he is ready for his forever home. A big gentle, snuggle bug Red loves nothing more than sidling up to his people for a pat and cuddle. Red would like a home with people around for a good part of the day or a female canine companion. He would absolutely love to be your best buddy and work colleague if you work from home! Red is great with dogs medium size and up. Red has had a past kennel injury resulting in him having two toes removed. It means that whilst Red loves his walks, he is never going to be a big hiker. Bud (Opawa Bud)

Bud (Opawa Bud) is a darling small girl of 5 year old with the most loving nature. Bud was in a home for a short period of time but unfortunately due to her owners allergy issues she has come back to us. She adores cuddles with people and laps up as many as you can give her. Bud is sociable with other dogs. She has been well fostered, is crate trained and used to being in a home environment. If you want an affectionate loving dog Bud could be the one for you.

Aslan

Aslan is a very special boy. He is great with other dogs, in fact he tells me he would love a home where he had a companion if he was going to be home alone for any length of time. He has been socialised with children but as he can get a bit bouncy when excited older children would be more suitable. He loves going on adventures and getting out and about. Unfortunately he does have a (non-racing) injury and although he has a full clearance from the fantastic team at Animal Orthopaedics he does have his limitations that will need to be discussed with his family. For this reason he has a reduced adoption fee.

Sammy

Central Hawkes Bay: Sammy is sweet and shy. He is only partially sighted, although sees well enough to get around. He does not have a degenerative condition and does not require medication. He is uncertain of the big scary world and needs a quiet home, perhaps with a calm older bitch of a medium-large breed. He is scared of zippy dogs. Gentle people with lots of love - Sammy is your man. Once he is confident he is cheeky and playful and will keep you laughing.
